Mind if I ask you a question?
Hey,
would you mind me asking you a question?
I was wondering who you are.
Would you seek refuge in cliché?
Or would you answer to me straight?
I ask you this strange question,
because I’m begging you to stay
Do you sleep lightly at night?
Or does a shuffle disturb
Do your eyes shine as deeply,
when you wake up early?
Will you tell me all your stories,
If I asked you really nice?
And will you let me be part of these fables?
I’m just wondering what you think of,
when you read a certain poem,
Do you feel where I am going,
and is it where you belong?
