'He's not right!' they said
'This is wrong!' they shouted
They said that we should talk
But I just felt outed
It was me against them
It was them against us
But alone I stood at the front
And surrendered to stop the fuss
I waved my white flag to their forked words
I surrendered to their judging looks
Was I fighting warriors of God?
Or did they just say whatever it took?
Whatever it took to keep their reign
Whatever it took to spare their name
No child of theirs will be in such mess
No sister of theirs will cause them distress
But they don't know that I'm a soldier of love
And they forget that I'm no warrior of pride
They charged and stuck me right in the heart
They won the battle and part of me died
