Little old lady
You see her walking by, lost inside herself
She is quietly beautiful, never says a word
You wave 'Hi', but she just walks on
Not knowing where shes going and not caring
She's beautiful on the outside, but won't let her insides known
Scars on her face, life has run over her
Left her trampled, took her words
Cruelty of time has made her hard
She's build a wall around her innocense
No-one is allowed to see the life that she once had
But still, you notice the way she walks
Quick confident paces, from a life left behind
Rough times show in her eyes, blue like the tears she cried
And now she's quit, she is no more
For anybody but you, she is gone
Only you see how lovely she still is
You can catch the touch of happiness in her voice
The significance of little words, spoken with care
Only you can see the beautiful old lady
How she's locked herself away, remembering the days she was happy...
