Nature
Lying in the grass,
Looking up towards the sky,
Smelling the scent of rose,
Watching birds take off and fly.
Sitting on a swing,
Wind pushing against my face.
Time passing me by,
In such a unruly race.
Staring at the moon,
Wishing upon a star.
Waiting for something to happen,
That's completely bizarre.
Slowly drifting off,
Relaxing without a threat.
Thinking of everyone,
That I've ever met.
Time starts to slow,
The days seem so long.
Stuck in my mind,
Lost singing one last song.
The sound of a river,
Softly crashing as it flows.
It's a endless trail of water,
That no-one knows where it goes.
Life is like that river,
Not knowing where it'll end.
You can't see what's coming,
When you turn for that next bend.
