Fragility in life; the struggle for continued existence,
It burns like a candle-flame flickering in the wind,
Like thoughts that breathe and words that burn
Like kindred spirits on heaven’s roll
Like a teardrop that splatters upon hitting the earth,
Like the confidence in a hesitant child that is so easily shattered,
Like tattered paper soaked in ink,
Like dreams of heaven that seem so far,
From which we wake disillusioned so,
Like a lonely moon on a cloudy night,
Like the spirit of the soul,
Listless; lifeless
Without inspiration; without motivation
Without the will to ‘live’
Without the power to ‘give’
The fire within…
Gone forever
But the vision of love remains…
Instilled in the heart for all eternity
Let not life keep apart…
What death can join together.
