I am standing at the cliff,
At the border of my time.
Looking around in my black and white world,
Putting back my mask on.
So many tears I’ve cried,
Spilled emotions of sadness.
Constantly trying to hide myself from the world,
It’s like my own Bal du Masque.
Now the bal is coming to its end,
And I am saying my goodbyes.
Preparing myself to take off my mask,
For eternity.
Freezing my real expression,
Forever on my face.
It could be that easy but I will always be afraid,
To give in to mortality.
