Star struck madness induced by grief
Lonely eyes crying out their pain
Disappeared without a by your leave
Dangled hope shattered to the skies
Anguished cries fill the air
Minds too shattered to begin to care
Hope means nothing if it isn’t there
Broken beyond mending; who said it was fair
It is no betrayal of the senses
And our hearts can’t seem to grasp
No wish can make this wrong go right
Nothing but an anguished cry in the night
Ragged sobs tearing through the air
Who can mend enough to care
Who will stir himself to be there
Who said life was to be fair
Dreamers hideout now useless for retreating
Followed into the deepest recesses of our mind
We search for answers, to one and all beseeching
Stop this anguished cry ripping through our mind
Wailing voices raised to the skies and air
In our time of need who will rise above to care
In our time of desperate pleas who will be there
It is now more than ever we need it to be fair
Flowers wither
We fall asleep
Dreams stay hidden
This pain goes to deep
Anguished cry piercing the dream
Anguished cry rending the sky
Anguished cry, all that we live
Anguished cry, tell us from whence and why
