I guess you don’t understand,
What you did to me,
The day we met, before you left,
It was probably meant to be,
You made me see, you made me feel,
That life is still okay,
It’s just a track I have to walk,
To walk it day by day,
I have to keep on moving on,
It doesn’t help to stand still,
I need to get back on my track,
So walking is what I will,
And if I do, there will be a day,
That we will meet again,
But before, that day arrives,
We’ll talk and write some now and then,
You put a smile on my face,
Even when you’re not here,
I'm sure we'll meet, somewhere some place,
So much time left to share,
You gave me back my sight,
Which for I’m truly glad,
I can see the “happy” light,
Not longer feeling sad,
You make me laugh, you make me smile,
You are a truly friend,
And if I need, I will reach,
And grab you by the hand,
It is strange, when you think off,
That we just once have met,
But the smiles and the laughter,
Keeps on running through my head,
And know that if you need a friend,
For laughter or for tears,
You can also grab my hand,
For refreshing walks or just some beers!
