When life had treated me too unkind

No best seller in the making to be sold

I have only a sad song to be sung
Just a broken tune that I hum

It’s a haunting melody from the past
But the words to it a fail to grasp

At night a lullaby that grants me rest
With its soothing beat from my chest

Leaving me no choice but to hum along
But God only knows how much I hate this song
