My heart
I built a wall around my heart,
So that nothing can go in, and nothing can go out.
This way I can’t be hurt again and torn apart,
I will never have to scream, cry and shout.
The pain you have caused me made me grow,
That drop extra, made me conscious.
Now I’m careful, realize and do really know,
You’re brain is just unconscious.
All these years gone by and lost,
You don’t even know my way of life.
It’s now that our times have crossed,
I’m reaching out for the knife.
It gently moves down my skin,
Sharp and brightly clear.
But all I know, you’ll get your way and win,
And that’s my biggest fear.
You lived you life in a lie,
All this time, you just played along.
Drinking you way through, but why?
And we had to live that life so long.
I learnt to build a wall around my heart,
So now nothing can do me wrong.
Unbreakable, for my new start,
My wall is now so strong.
