"Man in the Box"
you were dressed in red and black
humbling your words directing me
they were shadowing the building
so the wall crumbled before
you walked into the room
so I took up a smile and left it there
we wondered up through streets
causing love to rise as brand new
nothing in night's shining eyes
that wouldn't remind me of you
but I stole the thoughts of my soul
and left them for dead
colors that veiled my eyes went blank
I suffocated the brick and aligned
new boundaries to the days
the moments when you'd spoken truth
there, where I left you
