Moonlight falls on a thousand graves,
It looks like everyone's dead now,
In the darkest corner of the field
I collapse, down to the ground.
Some candles burn for loved ones
Flowers dried out on the cold, cold stones
Where people lie beneath,
Just people like you and me!
The sun rises and lightens the field
Though my heart's still not lit
And in the shadow a cross on a grave
With a recent date and my name on it
