There’s a tv screen next to the Christmas tree
Inside it all the world's to see
The colors bright, dull or gray
The old Christmas spirit fades away
Hope and happiness they failed so bad
Inside the tv there’s a face so sad
A Hungry child, a leader gone wild
And we can’t lose what we’ve never had
Compassion, guilt, it’s no longer here
For us, the world has disappeared
Just a lost memory of a color tv
Here in the west, we are free?
Kindness and giving is all we remember
As if that’s the answer for this cold December
We praise ourselves for being so good
We haven’t done shit, that’s understood
