"Rage, rage against the dimming of the light"
Palimpsest
Scribbled down passions on a palimpsest.
New lines are written founded over the old,
silently giving them a place fitted best.
The old words had been too much of a test:
to strained written, blotted, much to bold.
Scribbled down passions on a palimpsest.
The ink well holds life, sparklings in word's nest.
The fine nib catched those whose new roots will hold
silently giving them a place fitted best:
On a fine vellum which now manifest
a wild dance stilled, a strong destined mould
scribbled down passions on a palimpsest.
The quill's spine swaying, dancing with plumed crest,
following senses, creating new wet lines,
silently giving them a place fitted best.
Slowly now, it dawns, next change might be last
With all those ink dips, to change, to refine
Scribbled down passions on a palimpsest,
silently giving them a place fitted best.
