I have a friend
a true hearted friend
one whom I have feared
for so long
But whom I have grown
to respect in the end,
this friend, he has never been wrong
He's always straight to the point
he never fakes a thing
to some, a blessing he is in life
to some, a tear he will bring
One cannot see his gentle touch
his patience and his love
his understanding for grieving people
when he takes
someone they love
some say he's heartless
cold as ice, and chills you to the bone
But he's the one
that gently leads you
all the way back home
and although we don't
feel love towards him
when tears roll down our face
when we've left our body
and fly beyond the stars
he's the one we will embrace
death
